Michael Pickman OÜ ("we") is the data controller of Snify. This policy describes how we process your personal data and your rights under the GDPR.

2. Data we process

Account: email, name, avatar, locale, timezone.
Pets: name, species, breed, sex, birth date, weight, microchip, photos, vaccines, deworming, medications, allergies, medical notes.
Triage: AI conversations and verdicts (green/yellow/red).
Community: posts, captions, likes, reports.
Technical: push subscription, device info, IP for rate-limiting and abuse prevention.

3. Purposes & legal basis

Provide the service (Art. 6.1.b — contract).
AI triage with explicit consent (Art. 6.1.a, Art. 9.2.a if special data).
Operational notifications (vaccine/deworming reminders) — legitimate interest, opt-out available.
Marketing — opt-in only.
Security & fraud prevention — legitimate interest.
Legal obligations (accounting, requests from authorities) — Art. 6.1.c.

4. Subprocessors & international transfers

See the public list at /legal/subprocessors. Transfers outside the EEA are covered by Standard Contractual Clauses.

5. Retention

Account: until deletion + 30-day grace period.
Triages: 5 years (clinical retrospective review).
Posts: until deletion + 30 days.
Server logs: 30 days.
Backups: 90 days.
Cookies: up to 12 months.
Audit log: 24 months.

6. Your rights

Access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection and to withdraw consent at any time. Exercise them from Settings or by writing to dpo@snify.app. We respond within 30 days. Our lead supervisory authority is the Estonian Data Protection Inspectorate — Andmekaitse Inspektsioon (www.aki.ee). EU users may also lodge a complaint with their local supervisory authority.

7. AI triage

The triage uses Google Gemini via Lovable AI Gateway. Inputs are not used to train models. Conversations are stored in your account so you can review them; you can delete them by deleting your account or contacting us.

8. Minors

Snify is not intended for users under 16.

9. Security

Encryption in transit (TLS), encryption at rest, RLS at database level, signed URLs for files, audit log for sensitive actions.

10. Changes

We will notify material changes by email or in-app at least 15 days in advance.
